Selket Chlupka

Selket Chlupka (1981, Germersheim, Germany) lives and works between Paris and Berlin.

In work that is essentially photographic but may also involve sculpture and performance combined in installations, Selket Chlupka is constantly moving between the artwork and its documentation. This is the main subject of what this German artist who graduated from the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart calls “mise-en-scènes,” which, like a visual journal, keep a record of the gestures and forms produced in the space of the studio. Selket Chlupka produces autofictions that are like poetic dérives through her own archives.
